My Creator Journey started at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond during the Fall of 2002 when two friends and I started a Hip Hop group called Hustle Hard; two of us were artists and one was the producer. We posted our music on SoundClick (2003).
Unfortunately, another Hip Hop artist named Maino started using our group name and building a strong buzz in the industry. This eventually lead to the group fizzling out and each of us going our own way. I eventually started to mess around with the production side of things so I could create my own beats and write to them.
This is the last song I recorded back in 2009.

Me during the Sales Rep days
When I dropped out of college in 2003, I started working as a sales rep in a variety of industries for 7 years: Merchant Processing, Wireless Carriers, and Mobile Billboard Advertising to name a few. This is where I learned about the art and science of influence and hustle. It’s an indispensable skill that helps me as a founder today.
My formal entrepreneurship journey started in 2010 when I dared to take a daunting leap of faith; let go of my reality as an employee and fully depend on the sharing economy to kickstart my dream of becoming an author and a startup founder.
This entailed giving away 90% of my belongings to the homeless (only minimalist living) having no home of my own (only couchsurfing), and having no guaranteed income (only freelancing, bartering, and gifting).
